A roster you can stand behind, arm by arm

Every swing, throw and ground ball becomes scores, voice notes and a ranked board, from every station and every evaluator, so when a parent asks why, you have the answer.

TryoutBrain is tryout software for youth and adult sports clubs. Coaches and evaluators score athletes from their phones by voice, sliders or paper sheets; the app matches every observation to the athlete, ranks the field, helps the staff place athletes on teams, and emails each family their result with the reasons. It is built in Canada and serves clubs in Canada and the United States.

Four stations, sixty players, and a kid who threw once.

Baseball tryouts run through stations — infield, outfield, hitting, the mound — with a different coach at each, and a player's day is four short looks that live on four different sheets. The best arm gets one throw in front of the wrong coach; the pitching coach's notes never meet the hitting coach's; and the roster gets built from whichever sheet is on top.
